The Randy Rhoads That I Knew: Stories from Bandmates, Family and Friends is just that, a set of interviews from those who surrounded him in the studio, at home and on the stage. These interviews first appeared in The Randy Rhoads Guitar Chat, available at Apple Books.

The Randy Rhoads Guitar Chat was produced with the cooperation and support of the Rhoads family. We were given rare access to family photos and also included historic audio of Randy speaking along with interactive artwork and videos. But if you can’t shop at Apple books you’re out of luck. This paperback edition takes the written portion of that Guitar Chat and makes it available as a stand-alone Randy Rhoads experience, providing a unique insight into one of rock guitar’s greatest players.

Interviews included in this book come from: Randy Rhoads, Delores Rhoads, Kelle Rhoads, Kathy Rhoads Dargenzio, Kelle Garni, Kevin DuBrow, Rudy Sarzo, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Repetitive at times, but some cool things to hear in this. Ai narrator was aggravating. Words should have been changed to be correct: “live” numerous times that are wrong, a few others here and there.

I knew most of the information about him being shy and wanting to go back and get a masters. But, it was nice to here from someone who knew him and I'm glad it didn't focus on the tragety

The AI voice simulation was pretty good. I wish they would do that on a lot more books that aren't available. I've been a fan of Randy Rhodes since I was a child. Really enjoyed this book highly recommended it.

Really good book if you like Randy Rhoads! Plus..

Well this book is filled with half truths, a lot of Ozzy’s quotes are actually from Bob Daisley’s book, also I’m glad someone from this book mentioned Mick Ronson because that’s who really inspired Randy along with Glen Buxton, others that Randy liked that aren’t mentioned is Steve Hackett and Steve Howe so that leads me to believe that Randy was more into Art and Prog Rock than Hard and Heavy Rock. Anyhow I still enjoyed the listening..

It’s OK
