Should have been just a novella

I liked the premise of this book. It presents us with a serial murder and the victims. The catch is that one of the 6 victims can be revived with research which is in the hands of the government. And besides being able to revive one person, it is very cruel, which we all know is true. The tricky part is the parents, or other relative have to vote which person gets the golden egg.
This reminds me of The Squid Games. The book has a definite stopping point, but has a subplot where a couple of people want to expose the government. That part of the book is totally implausible.

The narrator has a beautiful and articulate voice, but because of my personal opinion, it is not matched well with this audiobook. I expect that on another book, she would have received 5 stars from me.

Science fiction

The Reckoning: Shadows of Equilibrium by Ashlee Mack is a great Science Fiction. Christy Foley did an amazing job with the narration. The story is interesting, Unique, and more. In a way it’s complicated in an emotional sense. The Reckoning is the second book in Project Equilibrium series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Recommend

Audiobook narrator

I enjoyed Christy Foley's narration of this book. Her enunciation was clear, speed was appropriate. I will listen to more books narrated by Ms. Foley.

Well Narrated, Interesting Story

I’m very picky about narrator’s voices. This one was very easy to listen to. The book was out of my typical genre, but I was sucked into the story. It reminded me a bit of The Hunger Games, but also Black Mirror, and a touch of The Truman Show. It’s nice and short, so if you’re looking to branch out into this genre this book is a great place to start!

Narrator on the rise

Christy Foley’s narration is deliberate and steady in this futuristic novel.

A government control novel is always timely in the world in which we live. Let's just hope we don't see programs like this in the real world any time soon!
