The Redemption of Bes

Twelve-year-old Khoury wants to enjoy her Christmas vacation, but her best friend Isabella has other plans: Together, they accidentally resurrect an ancient Egyptian god. Bes is a household god from over 3,000 years ago who was responsible for protecting mothers and children--but he did something terribly wrong, and now he's in danger of being devoured by the crocodile goddess Ammit.

Khoury and her friends have three days to help Bes become a better person...er, a better god...before he faces judgment. The problem? He's given up any hope of being redeemed, and he only wants to have a good time and party, even if it means getting everyone else into trouble.

With the goddess of justice, Ma'at, counting down the days to judgment, can Khoury persuade Bes to do better?
