Marissa Davidson and Kane Blackwell have known each other nearly all their lives. After a nasty divorce brings her back to the ranch town they grew up in, Kane soon realizes he wants the lovely thorn in his side for his own.

But Rissa has been hurt, badly, and the idea of marriage - to anyone - is enough to make her run.

Kane finds occasion to take the beautiful, stubborn woman in hand many times over the course of their budding, heated relationship, but will he be able to convince her to stop making him pay for the sins of her ex? Will an ultimatum bring about the desired reply or will Rissa run like the wind?

Marcio Catalano has become a narrator that I am so used to hearing, I end up liking whatever he reads.

Even fun little shorts like this. The story had just enough grit to keep you listening but the equestrian references were a tad much. Distracted me when I had to stop to take time to eye roll.

All in all I enjoyed listening to this, I tend to enjoy little shorts like this when I am in between listens and I will definitely keep this one on the back burner until next time.

Horse references abound.

What made the experience of listening to The Reluctant Bride the most enjoyable?

The narrator really brought this book shimmering to life, especially his performance of Kane's voice... super HOT!!! and awesome spanking scenes.

Which scene was your favorite?

I found the spanking scenes very erotic and squirm worthy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The way that Kane took care of Rissa was extremely touching and so lovingly expressive.

Any additional comments?

I was especially appreciative of a portion at the end that said Marissa became involved with online exploration of DD relationships and was glad to know that others found satisfaction in that lifestyle.

I loved this book, super Dominant male!!!
