I’m not really a fan of the AI, but I love the stories especially the first book

The Reluctant Mates Series ~ Boxed Set 1 (Books 1–3) ~~ I picked up this boxed set because sometimes you just want a rejected-mate, second-chance, werewolf romance that pulls you in fast and keeps you there ~ and this set absolutely delivered. I read this on Kindle and also listened on Audible, and honestly, switching between the two helped keep me sane when I wasn’t teaching.

This first set does an excellent job setting the emotional tone for the entire series. You get heartbreak, rejection, strong female leads who are forced to grow up fast, and male leads who make frustrating choices and then have to live with the consequences. The mate bonds are intense, the betrayals sting, and the slow burn toward redemption is very satisfying. There’s also just enough pack drama and mystery layered in to keep things interesting beyond the romance.

On Audible, the narration really brought the emotions to life ~ especially the pain of rejection and the longing that follows. You feel the characters’ struggles instead of just reading about them, which made it hard to stop listening. Kindle was perfect for those moments when I wanted to slow down and really sit with the story.

This boxed set is a great starting point for the series and had me fully invested by the end, ready to see how these couples ~ and the pack ~ would continue to evolve.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Glad I didn't pay for it

The AI is tolerable. The writing sounds like a bad translation. Words like keep being used instead of put. Which a human would have picked up on. Zero world building, No character development. Have I heard worse? Yes. But I have read some pretty bad stuff that was better than this.
