The Fates are cackling their bony asses off...

It's been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they've given him have been violent and bloody - which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth: He has to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy's deal might be, but it's a good bet that his arrival means that the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

Critic reviews

"Armentrout dives deep into the psyches of both hero and heroine, deftly switching from one point of view to another, while creating a drum-tight sense of suspense and sexual tension from the first page to the last." ( Publishers Weekly)

I enjoyed the book. In my opinion, it would be a great start to a 2 or 3 part movie similar to Percy Jackson films. The slow burn romance was agony at times, but makes for great anticipation. I did however wish there was some additional comedy thrown in with the MMC a bit more often. When it does happen, I couldn’t stop giggling. Lost 1 star for Performance due to the MMC accent, Perhaps a personal preference but I kept imagining a Frenchman trying to pull off an American accent while living in Peru. It just didn’t fit.

Expansion of Greek Mythology

Ok so just so clarify - before I started this series, I read some of the reviews on here, and one of them likens the male narrator (Seth’s voice) to Count Von Cookie Monster.....and I couldn’t unsee that. I loveee Jennifer Armentrout though, and Justine Eyre is one of my favorite narrators - she did all of the Guild Hunter books too. If you can get past the weird accent that male narrator does for Seth, it’s smooth sailing. It’s a good storyline!

Good Storyline - Narration [at times] Annoying

Ok. I finally found another series that's worth my time, credit, and a excellent review , it has everything you want without being too much or to little...it has personality. Will be listening to again like all my other favorites

It was nice to see more of the characters from Half Blood. The male narrator was eh. I wasn't a fan.

Nice sequel
