Exley House had lain empty and alone for years since Mary died, as if it had chosen isolation for itself, as if occupants were an extravagance it could forgo. Locals had always thought Mary had been verging on insane. One by one her four children had disappeared without a trace, but none of them had come forward to claim the house for themselves, nor take any of her belongings. The once immaculate grass now grew long and unkempt, and in that grass was narrow pathways made by local children hoping to catch a glimpse of Mary’s ghost. The new owner’s, Bill, and his wife Belle had seen the dilapidated Victorian house advertised on an auction site and happily ended up being the highest bidders. The moment Bill turned the large rusty key in the lock of the house, things began to stir and slowly awaken. They say every house has its secrets, but Exley House has more secrets than most buried deep within its walls. A warning message etched into a door, child-sized footprints on freshly painted floors, the contents of an old tattered diary, and photographs of children found during the property’s renovations would make anyone sell up and move. The only thing for certain is Exley’s dead children, the revenants, will not rest until they are set free. Do you want to play?

Bill & Belle?

There's 2 names, you have to really pay attention to or it can be confusing. this would have been a good book, but if I was l to get paid a dollar for every time I heard the F-word I'd have quite a bit. From chapter 27 and on I started counting and got around 43 times it was said, so just imagine the whole book. I didn't like the name calling either. I didn't like Bill's wife always belittling him. Had a good plot. The narrator "virtual" would have been better read by a human thank you very much.
