I enjoyed this book. It was just what I needed to relax with . the reader did a very good job.

Fantasy romance

Story held my interest to the end. I would have enjoyed the book more if the characters were more nuanced and less perfect. For example, why does Alex have to become the best writer of crime fiction in the world and then fall in love with a man devoid of flaws? What if she had to struggle to get her work published and the man of her dreams turned out to have a gambling problem? I guess it wouldn't be classic Danielle Steele. Overall rating: 3.50 stars rounded up
