How original!

I love The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Loved hearing the original stars from the movie read the lyrics in a different way than I hear them thru the music. Some of the words have a different meaning to me now. Patricia Quinn is an amazing actress. Loved her interpretation of the songs . Barry Bostwick reading the song that was cut from the movie was priceless. Nell Campbell brings a whole new feel to her songs . Loved it. The fans should really enjoy this 50th new spin on this Iconic treasure!

Definitely for Die Hard RHPS Fans!

Having had the benefit of reading other customer reviews let me know that this is essentially a spoken word presentation of the RHPS soundtrack. The official description did not.

Consequently, I purchased this with my expectations managed (& a bit low). Upon listening, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this is the entire soundtrack, as opposed to only a select few (the impression I got from the official description).

The concept of presenting these songs as dramatic readings is a level of camp that is respectful of and complementary to the source material; however, some of the readings could be better. It’s a pity that she entire cast was not available to read their own songs. It must be acknowledged that “Little” Nell Campbell’s (Columbia) performances were the best by far. For me, these made the entire purchase worthwhile.

I want my credit back

The book’s title was right. Rocky horror show like you never heard it. If I had heard it like this the first time, I would not have watched the movie for over 300 times in the theater, and I would not have bought multiple copies of the DVD, then Blue-Ray and watched those a few hundred times. It was on at my house for ever. My kids grew up singing the songs and call this, “The lips movie” and they love it.
