In the cramped car, Minister finds himself in close quarters with three passengers also joining the exodus from the South - people seeking a new life, whose motives, declared or otherwise, will change Minister's life with devastating consequences.

Poetry in the writing

This is a story of a man and his historical experiences who we never really know: elusive, mysterious, melancholic. The writing and dialogue are very poetic, a live play set in book form. Much of the finality of the story occurrences are left unanswered, but as the reader listeners, we are taken on a lyrical journey. I certainly would be interested in listening to more of the author's creations, as they may occur in audio book form.

Outstanding, heartbreaking, and beautiful. The way the author told the story was absolutely magical.

Great Story!

This is my first time reading something by this author and it did not disappoint. I could feel everything Minister described during his journey. The book left you wondering what happened to all the characters he came in contact with on that train ride. The narration was excellent!
