Exciting Urban Paranormal Fantasy

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one in the series. My attention was captured from the opening paragraphs until the end, and I listed to the whole audiobook in one sitting. I felt for Julia Xero as she faced the realization that someone wanted her dead. I liked all the twists and turns which kept the mystery moving along at a fast pace. My attention was riveted by the almost non-stop action. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I enjoyed BluesBunny's narration as her performance was entertaining. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

I didn't read/listen to the first book but I did enjoy this book. the twist and turns kept me very interested.

Heroine Julia Xero checks ALL the boxes: adorably endearing selfless heroics. Phenomenal super human powers. A round table of knights in shining armor who protect each other, her, and humanity with souls afire with a power comparable to Star Wars’ “The Force.” Storyline has listeners running for their popcorn and bunny slippers! Time to kick back, relax and enjoy! Not to mention the decadent use of all things sensual: mouthwatering food, astoundingly beautiful penthouses and glamorous, posh parties add bling and charm to this amazing book! I can’t wait for the next one! Long live Julia Xero! (Although she is constantly “this close” to her own death! It’s a nail-biter folks!)

Paranormal thriller

The Secret Aftermath by Gloria Oliver is an excellent paranormal fantasy thriller. BluesBunny did an incredible job with the narration. The Secret Aftermath is the second book in The Discoveries of Julia Xero series. The story is entertaining, thrilling, interesting, suspenseful, fast- paced, action packed, and more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend.
