World-renowned Dr. Andrew Rogers and his equally famous companion Dr. Kathleen McGregor are at it again. This time the stakes are high. A former companion, Alexandria, has discovered the key to unlocking a mystery of magnificent proportions. Not just any mystery, but one that could save the world from destruction. The Mayan 2012 prediction is quickly approaching. Unless the ancient Tabernacle can be located and a certain item returned to its rightful place, the world will be destroyed. Just exactly how that will come about is not yet known. As the plot thickens, there are a number of opposing forces all wanting this mysterious item for different reasons. To complicate matters, there are some strange creatures lurking about. Although no one has seen them, their presence can be felt and sometimes even heard. Are they evil or good? What is their purpose? Andy and his team are about to return home from a successful expedition. Worlds apart, Alexandria lay studying her private notes in the quietness of her quaint abode when suddenly she feels something sinister in the air.
