I am enjoying this series. This book, while not as exciting as the previous 2, is I believe setting the stage for what's to come. A lot of new faces were introduced and a new way of living was beginning to emerge.

History, richly developed characters, storyline and writing. Simply outstanding!

Each book in this series develops a new branch of the story of the first English settlers of Australia. I recommend getting the whole series and listening in succession. Vivian Stuart was an excellent writer, and I had not heard of her. This series is a gold mine. Simon Slater performs the whole series, and there are many different characters with various accents and voices. Award winning performance!
