Drawing from scientific findings past and present and from a wide range of personal experiences, Olive Skene Johnson explores questions such as: Is sexual diversity new? Why do men and women think differently? Apart from sexual preference, are homosexuals and heterosexuals different? Why do some people change gender? Johnson’s clear, accessible, and entertaining answers provide a wealth of information about a complicated subject.

Editorial reviews
Both relatable and revelatory, The Sexual Spectrum is an in-depth (almost 10-hour) exploration of human gender and sexuality. Olive Skene Johnson draws from personal experience, scientific research, and social studies to address topics like gender identification, erotic orientation, diversity, masculinity and femininity. Though academic in subject, the content is rendered easily accessible to laypeople through Johnson's fluid prose. Lucy Rivers narrates this fascinating audiobook in a clear and velvety voice, and listeners will find themselves fully engrossed in Johnson's highly progressive philosophy.
