Jensen Beach, Florida, is a quaint coastal town once revered as the “land that time forgot”. The place where big city dwellers come for vacation. It was once known for its beautiful sandy beaches, breezy ocean air, pleasant year-round weather, frilly cocktails, hometown boutique shops and restaurants, and ocean activities.

The town is also home to some unsavory characters and its many hidden skeletons—literally.

When Aunt Adeline goes missing, it is up to her niece, Charlotte, to uncover the clues of her deeply hidden family secrets and the town she calls home.

Enjoy the dual narrative from both Aunt Adeline’s and Charlotte’s point of view. Discover secrets The She Shed holds, the importance of friendship, and the true meaning of family.

I'm not going to spoil it, dont worry.

This is a super fun story. I'm a crime reader of all types and I needed this one today. I love the writing style - familiar - like your best friend is telling you the story. That is, if your best friend is really good at keeping a plot interesting and a wild story just believable enough.
As an aside...If I dont like something in a story I just ignore it and I'm glad this little part that was a huge ummm what ?! is easy to ignore.
I rarely read things twice and I see this on my read again shelf.
Excellent choice for narrator also. As an audiobook, this story needed the style of Scott.
I'm adding Orr and Scott to my list to read and listen to more.

Loved this, except a tiny thing....

This is a good, light audible. The two-voice narration was beneficial to keeping the 2 storytellers separate. I liked that the character building was efficient yet vivid. It was entertaining from start to finish.

Enjoyable!

I almost wish the story was longer. It was well written, with lots of twists and turns to hold your attention. The narrator was excellent, too (and I'm extremely particular about narrators - if he or she isn't decent, I won't even finish the book). I'm looking forward to more by this author.

Great story!

Wow! What an incredible writer Leah Orr is! This book kept me listening for more details about the characters in the present and the past. There were so many ins and outs and so much mystery pulled along as a crime drama mixed with multiple romance stories. The ending was very satisfying as the pieces were pulled together and more surprises were discovered. Just what a good story should be. The narrator was excellent and was easy to listen to as she led me deeper into the book.

Romance and Mystery Mixed together Powerfully
