The significance of the Sikh holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib, and its centrality to the religion are emphasized. The author discusses epoch-making developments such as the setting up of Singh Sabha and the accompanying social reform, the decisive Akali agitation for control of various Sikh shrines and the impact of the Ghadr rebellion.

Very interesting. Missing some key dimensions

Overall very good history of Sikh, the religion, people, cultures and struggles.

However, I did not find any reference to celebrated Bhagat Singh and Pakhtun Sikhs if NWFP and Afghanistan

Great for anyone who wants to learn more about history of Sikhs.

We need more books like this to further understand our history. Thank you Khushwant Singh.
