Great story line. Too much "ADULT" content for me

Story was riveting, well written and suspenseful. Unfortunately I find the adult content a bit too much for my taste.

That said, this is the first book I have listened to by this author so I don't know if adult content is the norm. I love suspense and mystery books and this book definitely checked off those 2 boxes on my list.

The audio book production was excellent. Think it's the first audio book I have listened that used 2 distinct readers to do the male and female voices. I really liked it and it was very well done.

Overall I'm impressed with the quality of the writing and audio book production.

Struggling to finish listening

I’m on chapter 11, really enjoying the book, however, the male narration is making it hard to continue. It’s SO over the top, so fast and overly enthusiastic about everything. There’s also a twangy quality to the voice. He definitely distracts from a great story!

Great story

Great story, the first I’ve read from this author. I was not able to predict the ending and that made me happy. Unfortunately I won’t be listening to any more from this series because I can’t get into it with the male narrator. He sounded more like a game show host than a broody detective. I’m sure he would be great for romcoms but serious roles like this definitely called for a different narrator. Female narrator was great and carried me through to the end.

Just how sincere it felt. We can really judge people wrong, all the way around.

The suspence just kept you going. It was so good to see how the relationship was able to connect.

Omg I truly enjoyed this fast-paced, action packed, mystery/suspense, survival romance - with a dash of comedy, enemies-to-lovers gem (whew! almost ran outta breath). Hannah Shield is a new author for me, I liked "The Six Night Truce" so much I would happily look out for more of her work. There were some seriously spicy scenes - especially with Alexander Cendese. Over time his voice has grown on me to where I count him in my top 20 favorite male performers. His voice is unique and you would think he could only do comedy work and wouldn't be able to sell a sex scene well but he does! Aubrey Vincent is new to me and I enjoyed her performance as well.
