In the desolate chill of Fairfield, a small town buried under relentless snowstorms, seventeen-year-old Charlie lives a life of quiet torment.

Bullied, isolated, and haunted by his own anger, he decides to channel his pain into creating a snowman, an enormous, grotesque figure mirroring the rage and fear boiling within him. But what starts as a cathartic project soon takes on a life of its own.

As whispers of vengeance creep into Charlie’s mind, his snowman becomes more than a creation, it transforms into something dark, ancient, and alive.

When strange and horrifying events begin to unfold, Charlie realizes his guardian of snow harbors a hunger which cannot be satisfied.

Now, the boundaries between Charlie’s desires and the snowman’s will blur, plunging Fairfield into a nightmare of blood and ice.

As the storm grows fiercer, Charlie must face the horrifying truth. Some monsters are not born, they are built.

The Snowman is a chilling tale of revenge, power, and the terrifying consequences of giving life to darkness. Perfect for fans of Stephen King and Joe Hill, this modern gothic horror will leave you questioning the true cost of unleashing the monsters within.

Will Charlie fight the force he unleashed, or will he succumb to the shadows calling his name?

The author’s story line was able to capture real emotions (fear, confusion, despair) right out of the gate. The narrator, Tess Hogue, was able to keep my ADD brain focused. I usually have to rewind audiobooks because I space out for a minute, but her narration keeps you interested! It’s like she’s acting out every character’s scenes. Definitely recommend if you like a horror story!
