Awesome

This 2nd book is even better than the first! I was hoping we would get some more backstory & lore as well as more character depth & development - and we sure did!! lots more action & faster pace with a cool animal companion and romance subplot. high stakes & twists & turns.

Action Packed Sequel That Doesn't Hold Back

This is an action packed sequel that doesn't let up. As someone who enjoyed The Forsaken Planet, Son of the Prophets is much bigger, dangerous, and impossible to put down. Picking up shortly after book 1 ends, we're eased into the story as Colton find himself with the weight of leadership on his shoulders. From the betrayals, the tense political moments, and the exciting action scenes, Son of the Prophets delivered for me and got me really excited to see what's going to happen in The Dark Element.

Carefully written and layered commentary

Great world building here. The action sequences build on one another very well. Colton truly learns what it means to be a child of prophecy - the good the bad and the ugly. We get aspects from each part of the war. But there is something being hinted here that I can’t wait to find out in Book 3. Here we go!!!! If book 1 was a match, this is a forest fire.
