As if these problems aren't enough, his parents (who have become late-stage hippies) are coming to live with him for the entire summer.

And so begins the journey of three souls, intertwined by love, loss, and perhaps something even greater. Told with Nick Pirog's charm and razor sharp wit, The Speed of Souls is at once a hilarious, moving, and transcendent work of storytelling.

Best read so far

I thought this would be a book for kids - NOT. This is a book for adult dog and cat lovers. And, I could not put it down; I was completely invested to the very end. I was down right on the edge of my seat, biting nails. And speaking of nails, Nick nails it - this is why our fur babies own us - because we know we will never find a truer or more pure love. Thanks to the maker!

Amazing!!!!

A quirky good read with a sneaks up on you feel great ending! I have to say, Nick P hits a home run with a totally different genre book! More please!!!

Beautifully Done!

This book actually made me tear up sometimes as I remembered my own beloved dogs from years ago. Once again, Mr. Pirog, nicely done.

Pet Lovers-a MUST-READ!!!!

I have loved Pirog’s adventure/ mystery novels so I wasn’t sure about this one. Although I AM a crazy cat lady and an overall critter-lover. I gave it a whirl-LOVED! Even bought a copy to share with a dog mom friend of mine. Don’t hesitate. A GREAT story with a GREAT ending. Keep ‘em coming!!!
