"A twelve-year-old who has never spoken a full sentence. A stolen Arabian stallion. And a bond that would carry them both through the worst years in history."

World War II is raging. Hitler is hiding away the world's most beautiful purebred horses in a little village in Czechoslovakia. Lipizzaners, Thoroughbreds, and the prize Polish Arabians are being used in his experiments to create the perfect war horse.

A peculiar twelve-year-old boy from the village named Teodor becomes the groom for one of those special horses - Witez II, one of the most famous Arabian stallions of all time. Witez helps the boy face his challenges and find his voice at a time when little is known about the condition now called "Autism."

Inspired by a true story, The Stallion and His Peculiar Boy will touch your heart as no other horse story has before.

Loved this story! But not a fan of virtual narration. I didn’t dislike it enough to stop listening but such a lovely story should be delivered from a lovely storytelling voice.

Great story. I do not like virtual voice narration. This is a little better voice narration than usual. As a rule,I do not listen to any of these books.

Good read

The AI narrator was hard to listen to. Every time it said the horses name it paused and glitched half way through, very annoying.

Really liked the story and learning about the horse rescue

I couldn't tell if it were just bad writing or the wretched reading which was so impossible. The AI pronounced the horse's name differently, mispronounced so many words and put the emphasis on wrong syllables and wrong phrases. It was especially bad in the reading of the poor autistic boy's sentences. I love horses, esp. Arabians but cannot recommend this reading.
