These are just a few exploits of Sterling, the mysterious psychic. One learns of his aptitudes and the struggles he faced throughout his life. The ability to see into the spiritual realm is a gift he both appreciated and despised because it often brought him closer to the living and the dead and forced him to experience the last moments of the innocents whose lives had been cut short.

Sterling’s relationships always seemed to fail due to his long absences or lack of intimacy, the result of shielding himself from those who got too close. His mother, a loveless woman, failed to raise him in a supportive, loving environment. She, the unfaithful wife, mostly caroused the bars in search of anyone who could satisfy her cravings and lust— even for just one night.

At the end of her life, death was the only thing they shared; that fateful night so many years ago, his life hung in the balance. Sterling was spared certain death; instead, he was given a gift that became a heavy burden. All alone with his unique abilities to search the last known whereabouts of the dearly departed, the man has become simply Sterling. Immune to love or any other senseless emotion, his mission in life was to discover the facts—no matter how painful the truth was to the families.
