From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson―creator of The Stormlight Archive, the Mistborn Saga, and countless bestselling works of science fiction and fantasy―comes this standalone novel showing a rare glimpse of a future Cosmere universe.

Running. Putting distance between himself and the relentless Night Brigade has been Nomad’s strategy for years. Staying one or two steps ahead of his pursuers by skipping through the Cosmere from one world to the next.

But now, his powers too depleted to escape, Nomad finds himself trapped on Canticle, a planet that will kill anyone who doesn’t keep moving. Fleeing the fires of a sunrise that melts the very stones, he is instantly caught up in the struggle between a heartless tyrant and the brave rebels who defy him.

Failure means a quick death, incinerated by the sun… or a lifetime as a mindless slave. Tormented by the consequences of his past, Nomad must fight not only for his survival―but also for his very soul.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Listened to this after w&t.... And wow. Just all the context makes it that much better. The performances are all great, and the sound effect really add to it. Really loved this.

Great way to re-listen to the story.

Satisfying worldbuilding as always! Going further with Cosmere mechanics, assembling missing puzzles. Modern age vs the less developed world, reminescent on the Star Trek episodes where they secretly watch some pre-warp society.

Mad Max Cosmere hybrid.

Another excellent book in the “series”. There is not much of a connection between the books in the series, each one could be read as a standalone, which makes it very different than most.

Another fun book

was a fun easy ride after finishing up storm light. I think the author needs some variety on the character psychology at this point though. the whole broken lone wolf, can't get close to anyone, is getting pretty redundant in almost all of Sanderson's key characters. I know the whole broken hero thing is popular but I'd like to see something different at this point. on a plus though really creative story, great world,

some fun concepts
