I typically love the Sweet Potato Queen, and I've enjoyed all of her books so far; except this one. The first section of the book, the wedding planner, is entertaining, and has her standard recipe for a book; mostly funny, with a sob story tossed in. The Divorce Guide is where she lost me; I didn't find it nearly as good or funny. She saved it only with her narration.
If you haven't read any of her books before, don't start here, her other works are much better.
