A broken sword. A fractured timeline. Three friends racing to save reality itself.

Thirteen-year-old Dylan never expected to find a legendary sword in his parents' attic, let alone one tied to the fate of history itself.

When Dylan, along with his best friends Mahi and Lloyd, uncover the hilt of a broken sword, they’re swept into a world where time has changed, the past almost forgotten, and magic is as real as the danger closing in on them. Guided by cryptic clues and pursued by forces that would rewrite history for their own dark purposes, the friends must piece together the weapon’s missing blade before reality itself unravels.

From the quiet streets of their hometown to realms lost in time, Dylan, Mahi, and Lloyd face impossible odds, unravel ancient secrets, and learn that courage is forged in the most unexpected places.

Fast-paced, imaginative, and brimming with adventure, The Sword and the Shattered Timeline is perfect for fans of time-twisting fantasy, loyal friendships, and epic quests where every decision can change the course of history.

Love for The Sword and the Shattered Timeline:

"As a proud Welshman it’s so lovely to see my culture celebrated, and in such a fun way too! Reminds me a lot of all the fantasies I would have in school of fighting with Merlin as part of the round table. AND THERES A DINOSAUR TOO. Instantly sucks you in. You’re gonna love it." — @Dheanasaur, 200k+ Instagram Followers.

"If The Goonies and Jumanji was about Welsh mythology!

A story full of adventure, friendship and a great way to introduce young people to Welsh folklore, landscapes and legends. A really lovely read and a great choice for a bedtime story that people young and old will fly through. Plenty of action, twists and turns and cinematic set pieces that would satisfy any fantasy or mythology lover."

I listened to The Sword and the Shattered Timeline on audiobook and loved it!

At its core, the book follows three kids who are suddenly pulled into a fractured timeline where history, myth, and reality are colliding. Instead of simply traveling to the past, they’re navigating a world where time itself is unstable. The characters aren’t chosen because they’re powerful, but because they’re willing to keep going even when they don’t fully understand what they’re carrying.

It reminded me of the feeling I had reading A Kid in King Arthur’s Court growing up — that sense of discovery and danger balanced with humor and friendship. The stakes aren’t only about getting home; they’re about what happens if history itself can’t hold together.

One of the things I appreciated most was how the characters reacted like actual kids. They questioned things, hesitated, and didn’t magically become fearless heroes overnight. Their bravery came from sticking together and figuring things out step by step. That made the adventure feel believable instead of rushed.

The audiobook narration elevated it even more! The pacing matched the tension of the story and Aubrey Parsons brilliantly helped distinguish the characters without feeling exaggerated. It made my long stretch of travel feel immersive rather than slow and the action scenes were easy to follow without losing the emotion behind them.

As a mom of teens, I can already tell this is a book my daughter will love!

Overall, it’s a genuinely binge-worthy listen. Not just because of the plot, but because you want to know how these kids handle something far bigger than they expected and whether putting time back together means changing themselves along the way.
