In 2021, women represented 54.3% of the US workforce but only held 35% of senior leadership positions. Of that percentage, only 2.7% of Asian women were seen in management roles. It’s a refreshing, eye-opening, jaw-dropping, informative, and empowering read. Sheena dives deep into our cultural roots and calls out how we’ve failed women, particularly Asian women, in our expectation and ideologies of them. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a man, woman, Asian or other, everyone can relate to at least one of the topics discussed in this book. At the end of the read, my confidence boosted and I was ready to say, “Watch out world, because change is coming!”
