A middle-grade fantasy and nonstop adventure, The Train to Impossible Places by debut author P. G. Bell is as fun as it is full of heart and the first audiobook of a planned trilogy.

A train that travels through impossible places. A boy trapped in a snow globe. And a girl who is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

The Impossible Postal Express is no ordinary train. It's a troll-operated delivery service that runs everywhere from ocean-bottom shipwrecks to Trollville and to space.

But when this impossible train comes roaring through Suzy's living room, her world turns upside down. After sneaking on board, Suzy suddenly finds herself deputy post master aboard the train and faced with her first delivery - to the evil Lady Crepuscula.

Then, the package itself begs Suzy not to deliver him. A talking snow globe, Frederick has information Crepuscula could use to take over the entire Union of Impossible Places. But when protecting Frederick means putting her friends in danger, Suzy has to make a difficult choice - with the fate of the entire Union at stake.

I’m on a serious search for well written MG books with realistic characters on a delightful adventure. I want to share modern books (like the ones I lost myself in as a little girl) to share with my lovely grandchildren.

I haven’t heard of this author - or this book - and took a chance.

Fiona Hardingham played a vital part in hypnotizing me in Impossible Places. I really loved young Suzy. The eleven year old science (okay, physics) genius was still well rounded, sweet, and caring. She was carefree with her antics in a mischievous way. I adored her innocence and reveled in the fact she was snarky-in-training.

Frederick was cute in his own ceramic skin. And I liked him.

The world building was a stroke of creativity and originality. Kudos!

I hope there are many, many, many more adventures waiting for us. This stand alone book definitely hints the train may return. I’m waiting to board and can’t wait to see how she’ll be able to sneak off again. You can’t pull the same trick twice!

Impossible Places will be Impossible to Top!

Enjoyed our heroine immensely. I found myself trying to guess right along with Suzy how the rules of fuzzicks compare to physics. Loved the rich characters and intriguing story line. Will definitely put this one in our school library!

Wonderful adventure
