Even though he shouldn’t be, he seems fine, crowned as the new star escort in the Brothel of Transformative Curiosities. Reihan has seen this story play out before. But Phillippe is far too charming, far too kind, and far too inconsolable for her to simply look away.

The Travelling City is a dark fantasy mystery packed with romance and even more existential dread; set in a whimsical, bizarre and ever-changing world.

A Mystical World

I was entertained by this unique fantasy. I admired the creativity of the settings and the unusual creatures and non-creatures which populated this novel. I was a little confused by the description of Reihan's personality and then some of Reihan's actions; however, since this was a place of alternate realities, having an unreliable protagonist made sense. I thought Camryn McGlynn's narration was great, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
