For all those who wonder, "Just who is Donald Trump?",
The Truth About Trump supplies the answer.

Drawing upon exclusive interviews and exhaustive research, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Michael D'Antonio presents Trump's full story, from his beginnings as a businessman to his juggernaut presidential campaign. Along the way, D'Antonio charts the successes and failures, scandals and triumphs, and relentless pursuit of money and fame that have made Trump who he is today. D'Antonio also details the origins of the Trump family fortune, Trump's history of using politics to get ahead, and how he has mastered the media to turn publicity into power.

First published in 2015, and now updated to cover Trump's rise to political prominence, The Truth About Trump is an unsparing, eye-opening account of the life and career of the most talked-about man in America.

This audiobook was previously published as Never Enough: Donald Trump and the Pursuit of Success.

Very well done. Even-handed, thorough, clearly written. Kept my interest all the way through. I feel like I understand the phenomenon that is Donald Trump much better than before. I was concerned that this would be a hatchet job, but it wasn't.

I still don't much care for the man or his views on many issues, but I understand him better.

Great insight into the man

I am only a neighbor who lived for several years in the USA and learned as much as I could about the sociopolitical dynamics.

I hope your country can survive this presidency and mine, Canada, can minimize the damage.

The best and most well-researched study of a man about become President

I was first aware of Trump sometime in the early 80s. I was not a fan. My opinion is unchanged, but I must admit that I was not familiar with most of his pathetic and petty acts and statements recounted in this book. Having read it, my revulsion is better explained. I look forward to a day when I can watch a newscast and not hear him mentioned...ever again. For him, as the author makes clear, that day will be hell.

I am, by the way, a Republican. I did not cast a presidential ballot in 2016, and I am ashamed of “Republicans” in the House and Senate who tolerate and even defend this man. They should be taken in custody and subjected to a reading of this narrative.

In the end, the reader will realize what a small and ignorant person this Trump really is...no, come to think of it, many will not. I wish that I had not purchased this book. I wish that I had not read this book. I recommend it only to sufferers of chronic constipation; at least you will be able to puke.

He is more despicable than you thought

This well written book was clearly well researched and each chapter of trump’s life was told with a clear context of the time period. The author allows you to draw your own conclusions for the most part but at the end gives us his take on some aspects of trump’s story and personality. Since he spent much time interviewing him I appreciated his insight.

Most comprehensive history of Trump with important insights

ugh! I wish I would've listened to the last chapter first, as it would have spared me alot of wonder. the author describes the subject's behavior then seems to try to justify it with surface psycho babble, that seems apologetic. having read countless books and articles on the subject, it was just too much. actually, in light of the subjects most recent behavior, it was enough to gag a maggot. ack.

an apologist perspective
