In recent years many claims have been made and questions asked about the origins of our Easter traditions. Was the holiday based on Pagan traditions? In this book we try to go back to the origins of these traditions and examine the historical evidence available to us to see where all of these traditions got started. Starting with the Bible as our guide, we work our way up from the crucifixion, into the writings of the Early Church Fathers, to the Middle Ages, and on into modern traditions. Looking at all of this, in light of Scripture, we will do our best to equip the reader with the information needed to make up your own mind about the Easter holiday.
