Across plains they travel, encountering not-quite-magical-or-wise felines, threatening mudcats, a tennis-obsessed bear, helpful puffins, at least one brave beaver, and the fiercely dreaded scourge of the west: chupacabralopes.

Story definitely had funny parts . For me the narrator made the book very enjoyable to listen to. His voices fit the characters perfectly!
