I'm learning to embrace who and what I am, but there's one thing I can't face: the night Zak betrayed me. But even with the mysteries of our shared past hanging between us, I can't turn Zak away when he asks for my help.

Powerful fae are going missing, and when he tried to investigate, Lallakai vanished too. Now he wants me to venture with him into the territory of the Shadow Court, but its bloodthirsty courtiers don't welcome meddling druids.

Danger is gathering around us, seen and unseen. As we uncover incomprehensible clues about the missing fae, we realize this nightmare runs deeper than we imagined, and unveiling it means delving into the past-our past.

If I abandon Zak now, he'll never make it out alive. But if I stay at his side, if I face the truth of that night, it will destroy us both.

I am IN SHOCK. The last ten minutes of this book are CRAZY. My jaw literally dropped and stayed that way for, like, two entire minutes.

Normally, l'd be mad that it was a cliffhanger, but I HAVE to give props. That was a HELLUVA way to segue into the next book.

I'm in the "l... can't... 😧" territory.

Oh right, and the narrators did a great job, both of them. Cris does fantastic job wrestling with the FMC’s all over the place emotions and thoughts. And Tim’s voice is just the right kind of resonance for Zach.

Admittedly, this series (Unveiled) was a slow start of me. I felt like I couldn’t really relate to the FMC. But as the story unfolded… she becomes almost the most relatable in the Guild Codex series? Her feelings of doubt and lack of self confidence resonated in parts of my brain and kind of… show me what I might look like were I unhinged? Maybe not the best wording but this series is absolutely worth reading, especially if you’ve read others in Annette Marie’s Guild Codex series.

Those last 10 minutes, tho. 😧

Why choose male and female narrator?! Chris Dukehart is the best for the series alone. When one narrator is making past (both in male and female voices), and other present (again male and female) it only leads to readers irritation, not enjoyment. If male narrator read all male lines and Chris did the same for female lines, it would be totally different experience as proven by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer in Wheel of Time series. This book however, is the same type of disaster as the Silence Fallen from Patricia Briggs.

And please, do not do cliffhangers...

Narrators! Again.

I usually listen to books to put me to sleep at night. I cannot do this with any Annette Marie books. i listen all day and night. Her plots twists are exciting and her stories are engaging with fully developed interesting characters. I can't wait for the next book. Please keep them coming!!!

Book 3 doesn't disappoint.

A fair addition to the series, but the ending was very cliche. It left a good amount to be desired in my mind. I will obtain the next book in the series, when it comes out, because i am invested in the universe from Tori's books, robin's aadventures, to Kit's unorthodox actions... but am feeling a little meh, or lacklustre currently.

Great narrators, cliche ending
