The next exciting adventure in a new Western series from Malcolm Hotzman! This is action, adventure and Old West justice from one of the most acclaimed Western authors of today!

After a chance meeting on the trail, the unlikely duo of gunfighter Dalton Brisco and Timber: U.S. Marshal decide to team up. This mystery friend is on his way to Silverton, Colorado, because his old mentor, Nate Jenkins, has requested some help, and Briscoe offers to assist. The two combine forces to retrieve Nate’s abducted granddaughter, and solve the mystery of how horses are disappearing from a local ranch. Using their brains, fists, and guns, these two legends deal out justice as they define it.

It has been a long time since I’ve picked up or listened to a western, but The Two Guns of Justice reminded me exactly why I used to love them. This audiobook completely re-sparked my interest in the genre.

The story of Dalton Brisco and Timber teaming up is everything I enjoy about a good western — grit, mystery, sharp dialogue, and that rugged sense of justice only the Old West can deliver. The pacing is tight, the action feels authentic, and the plot had enough twists to keep me locked in the entire time. It hit all the classic marks without ever feeling predictable.

And Henry Marshall’s narration is excellent. He gives every character their own voice and personality, and the dynamic between Brisco and Timber comes alive because of his performance. It felt like listening to an old-school western film.

If you used to love westerns but haven’t checked one out in a while, this is a perfect place to jump back in. I’ll definitely be looking into the other books in this series next.

This one starts with Dalton meeting a US Marshall on his northern travels. They decide to travel together on the Marshall's way to Silverton, Co. on personal business. They find 2 different problems that need solving and resolving. Narration is nicely done on this entire storyline.

Good Western
