For he carries a burden, a blessing, a curse, a secret—dà-shealladh, the second sight of Gaelic lore.

Gills MacMurdo, noted folklorist, academic, and Angus’ oldest friend, confirms what the dà-shealladh is warning. Just as Faye’s death was three-fold, so must the murder victims fulfil the ancient pattern. More will die, unless Angus does what he must—close his eyes and see.

The book pulls you in page by page, unfolding the layers of what is haunting duagh mc neill and his wife as well as Gilles, the ease in which Forbes burries you into the local folklore as well as all its characters often the dread is palpable for you as a reader as it was f me, the last chapters evolve into a sublime narrated tension rhat leaves you haunted … please I want more !!
