ok I loved it

this is awesome for that I am so grateful Will Mabbitt that you made this book

Written for 5-year olds yet too violent

I bought this as some reviews had Lemony Snicket comparisons. The writing is far, far below Lemony Snicket. The main character, Mabel Jones, is captured by pirates because she picked her nose and ate the boogies so I thought 5-year-olds might like it but later the characters are very violent and mutilate one another. The characters are all unlikeable and are poorly developed. The plot is also thin and poorly developed. I was hoping for a fun book but it is a strange mix of violence and fart jokes.
