In modern-day Nottingham, Frankie Rowan is a private detective with a special knack for finding things. She is hired to locate an ancient vampire skull said to have belonged to Chanoch the Sorcerer and soon finds herself caught in a feud between two rival vampire clans. She’s used to finding missing husbands and lost cats, so sneaking around booby-trapped underground chambers and chasing across rooftops is way out of her comfort zone.

Teaming up with a mischievous thief who probably can’t be trusted and a handsome, brooding vampire with a mysterious past, Frankie must reach the skull before it falls into the hands of occultists planning to bring Chanoch back from the dead to create a powerful new clan of vampire sorcerers. Along the way, she may also find the man she’s willing to die for.
