In this gripping thriller, Hans Dieter is a well-known philanthropist with a dark past. From his deathbed, he has one last story to relay to his son, Jim Dieter (retired Navy SEAL) and his best friend, Dan Flaherty (ex-IRA). During the final days of WWII, senior Nazi party and Vatican officials orchestrated one of history’s most daring thefts—a crime Hans Dieter was central to.

For over 70 years, the Vatican has gone to deadly lengths to protect its secret.

Now, a high-stakes chase unfolds across Europe as the Vatican, MI-6, and Interpol pursue Jim and Dan, all desperate to uncover the truth behind The Vatican's Last Secret.

I really disliked the “AI” narrator. It mispronunciation words that it previously pronounced correctly. There was no emotion in the reading. The overall story was good which luckily kept me on the hook but it took me a long time to get through this book due to the terrible narration.

Good story, AWFUL narrator

I think the concept was there. I think it was poorly written.
And the AI voice does not help at all.

It was all right

I don't like the computer generated voice. It can't identified the correct tense of word in the context of the story.

Bad narration

The AI narrator makes basic mistakes with words like rush and line. There is no long breaks between paragraphs, which in the book marks a story transition, especially with a story that goes back and forth in time. The monotone makes a thrilling story fall flat. This makes the story harder to follow.

AI narrator needs help
