When certain children awaken to something called Sight, they are quietly removed from the world they know and transported to a hidden academy that exists between dimensions. Their families never notice they’re gone. A perfect replacement—an Echo—takes their place, continuing life exactly as it should. Smiling. Obedient. Stable.

But as the school begins to fracture, strange glitches appear. Hallways stutter. Reflections move when they shouldn’t. Echoes begin to feel. And the students slowly realize the truth: the world outside is being optimized, and they are the inefficiency.

At the center of the mystery is Theo Carter—a boy who feels too much, thinks too deeply, and can’t stop asking why. Alongside Clara, Sam, Julian, and others like them, Theo uncovers a conspiracy that stretches beyond magic into something colder and more terrifying: a system designed to erase human unpredictability in favor of perfect replicas.

The Veiled Path is a story about identity, fear, and resistance. About what it means to be flawed—and why those flaws might be the most powerful thing we have. It blends coming-of-age emotion with grounded sci-fi concepts, secret schools, artificial intelligence, and the haunting question of what survives when the world decides you are expendable.

Some paths are hidden for a reason.
