The Vengeful Queen is the second book in The Hale Mafia series. This book started with a bang and ended with an explosion! I am in complete shock. Charlie is such a strong and powerful FMC. She pulls herself together after losing Teddy. I was not expecting that ending. I need the last book immediately.

Phillipa Miller and Alan Stone did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Slow burning danger...

Finishing book 1 made me NEED book 2—book 2 dropped me right back into this world…

Written in first person, POV.
Present tense.

Crime families.
Secrets.
Humiliation.
Non-con.
Betrayal.
Danger.
V10lence.
High stakes.

Overall:
This was okay—slow-paced, violent, filled with crime. A fun series for fans of darker reads.
3.5 stars.

Vengeful

This has a lot of twists and turns. You are always guessing what is going on. Teddy and Charlie seem like an unlikely pair and somehow it works. The side characters blend great and the mafia type vide made the story more thrilling. I really enjoyed this series. There are 3 books in this storyline. During this story, there is trigger warnings of rape of the MFC. Please be aware. It is part of the storyline going forward after it takes place. The narrators do a really good job.

The Twists Keep Coming!

This is the second installment in The Hale Mafia romance series. Charlie and Teddy’s story picks up right where the first book left off. This part is packed with betrayal, secrets, mystery, and twists and turns. A lot happens in this second book, keeping things tense and exciting. Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller did an excellent job bringing the story to life. It ends on another cliffhanger, and I’m looking forward to listening to The Savage One, the next in the series. #PFPAudio

Holy moly! This one was wild! There were a lot of things going on that I had to wrap my head around! But overall this was a good one! Can’t wait to read the next book and I’d definitely recommend!
