This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

There are great deserts in space. Matter is not spread evenly. On average it balances out in all directions, but some regions are not average. For every dense cluster of galaxies in one place, there is a tremendous void somewhere else. There are no galaxies within the voids, no stars, no planets, and no moons. Scientists have theorized that anyone at the center of such an empty space would see only darkness in every direction. Even the brightest objects, they say, would be too far distant to be visible to the naked eye.

I got a chance to test that theory firsthand. I am the most distant exile in human history.

My name is Prisoner Number One. This is my story.

Publisher should just pay for a narrator. Otherwise enjoyable story, I enjoyed it and loved the arc.

Great story with a fantastic ending. Fun humor along the way. I really enjoyed this title. Now I want to read book 2!

Fantastic play on time and distance. Very original concepts.

He got me to be emotional multiple times … there were a few surprises. I didn’t really like the AI voice reading though.

I enjoyed the premise of this exile in space and I liked the storyline along with the characters. The ideas are cool but the writing needs some polishing. It's great if you just think of as the outline to a book, or a story told to a younger audience. I would've have loved to get way more details, more substance to every part of it. The virtual voice was decent, nothing like a talented narrator but good enough for me to listen hands free. It's better than the first electronic voices of the original Kindles and fine if you keep in mind that it's just text to speech.

Good outline of a story, good sci-fi ideas

I've always thought of what I'd do if I traveled to the future although this isn't a story with a time machine, a man being displaced in time and space yet still able to connect to the outside world although not physically, really got me hooked early. I never knew where it was headed next. Being a new father myself the midway point where number one is raising children practically my child's age got me emotional. The way the author can convey the main character philosophy, deep thoughts and feelings, I am very excited for the next titles in this series. Thank you
