It started as a better way to enhance the James Webb Space Telescope. A unit that looked the other way. It needed a team of people, and it needed a helpful AI system.
Artificial Intelligence took over most of the work, but it did not rule out the need for human hands and minds. Then came a devastating discovery. A civilization of cyborgs, AI driven units in an expanding, circular wave, carefully harvesting only the warm planets like Earth, in a rapidly growing flat plane right toward Earth itself.
It will take the combined minds of man and AI alike to stop the scourge, before it is too late. But AI on its own would simply join The Wave...
