Our heroine is an independent bluestocking balancing care of her orphaned little sisters with her scholarly endevours. Our hero is rough and burly on the outside/soft and cuddly on the inside. I know it is a little formulaic, but I am a pushover for the slightly tortured hero. The two join up to search for a celtic silver artifact, both with their own goals in mind with what to do with the treasure once it is found -- one to protect it, the other to exploit it. The search brings our hero and heroine closer together, they learn to respect each other, and are definitely attracted to one another (there are a number of humorous, and romantic, sexually-charged scenes). Despite their differences, and initial antipathy, they fall in love. This book offers some red-hot scenarios, but don't worry, for those of you looking for more than just the 'horizontal tango', there is also a rather nice little romance here as well.
I have heard this narrator before, and have grown to enjoy her, but I know that other listeners have had problems with her voice. Listen to the snippet to judge for yourself. I think she does a fine delivery of this title, with excellent characterization.
