Margaret Wood is known for her grace, beauty, and fashion in Bennett Town, Texas. As she waits for the war to end, she receives a notice that her husband, Joseph Wood, died on D-Day in France. Margaret must raise their 15-year-old son, William, alone. Joseph’s brother Henry, a wounded war veteran, provides a helping hand. The small town embraces the Wood family in their time of grief. As time passes, the town’s ugliness surfaces. Margaret comes head-to-head with Earl Bennett, whom the town is named after. As the conflict grows and Earl becomes more ruthless, the town shuns the Wood family. The strain on Margaret and her family intensifies until someone unexpected arises to become The Widow’s Savior.

If your like me and have no time to sit and read and you love a good story,The Widows Savior is the book for you. Ian Griifen has done it again, another great book. It keeps you in it right to the end and gives a great twist at the end. It's great he has started on audible hope that all his books get on there.

A story set in rural East Texas with a very realistic setting and a historically-believable storyline. Very creatively written, with well-developed characters, including a few interesting backstories - and a bit of humor here and there. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the talented narrator as well - she was able to perform the various voices to "paint the picture". I look forward to reading other novels by Mr. Griffin, maybe even sequels to this novel.

Fascinating story, good characters and narration.

The characters are all done so well. Not too overdone though. Their quirks and weaknesses made them feel real and so lovable or hatable. I’m not a good review writer but I’ll say that you are missing out if you skip this title. I honestly wish I could forget this book and re-read it for the first time again. My only complaint was that the book wasn’t longer. Overall 11 out of 10 stars!

How much I wanted to meet every character for real!
