Kenneth Grahame
The Wind in the Willows, a classic children’s novel by Kenneth Grahame, follows the adventures of four anthropomorphic animal friends: Mole, Ratty, Badger, and Toad.
Mole, initially content with his spring cleaning, ventures out and discovers the joys of the riverbank with Ratty. Their adventures lead them to the impulsive and reckless Mr. Toad, who becomes obsessed with motorcars and gets into numerous predicaments.
Through their experiences, the novel explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the importance of home and community, all set against the backdrop of the idyllic English countryside.
