Great story!

Enjoyed the story. As always, C, De Melo transport the listener/reader to another time and another place beautifully.

Didnt see that coming

This book was exciting from the first moment I started it. Story is well told and has you on edge. i cant get over how horrible the grandmother was. really goes to show you grudges are no good.

Very enjoyable story

I enjoyed the story a great deal. The main character is well developed as well as what ends up being her nemesis, her grandmother. I would have enjoyed a bit more development of the setting and the historical period, that was rather left in limbo other than the description of transportation, clothing, and common belief in spells and witches. Without giving any spoilers, I like the way the author works the interchanges between the main character and her husband, all the way through the end. I do recommend this read to people who enjoy this genre.

Another fun book from the Author

This, too was an enjoyable listen. The characters were well developed. The Main Character was extremely likeable. I enjoyed this book... and I look forward to more from this Author. The Narrator was good too, and the Character's voices were well differentiated.Thanks! This book was provided for free with an agreement of a fair review.

A surprisingly good story!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, to be honest. It took me about forty-five minutes to really get into it and to get used to the narration, but it turned out to be a story I couldn’t get enough of. Well written and well researched, with characters that lived and breathed on the page. Some twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting, which really held my attention.
