Putin and the Russians have suffered too many killings of their own people in the past. Now they want the whole of the "prime minister's private army" wiped out, including Blake Johnson and Charles Ferguson. Somebody is after them: Blake; Harry Miller; his sister, Monica; Harry Salter; and Billy. The only people spared are Roper and Dillon.

After surviving a car bomb, Ferguson heads a desperate search to uncover the perpetrator. Not wanting any overt connections with their country, the Russians need the right kind of assassin, better than Carlos the Jackal. When such a man is discovered in a Lubiana prison, he is willing to take on the job as a price for his freedom! An unlikely man, brilliant and terrifying, ingenious and deadly, he is the wolf at the door.

This is NOT a Sean Dillon novel. Dillon is in the first couple of chapters and thats it.I would not have purchased this book if I was not mislead like this. That being said, the book was fair although without the intensity of a Dillon novel. Audible needs to review books closer to make sure the protagonist is who they say it is.

Audible misleads you on this one

I have either read or listened to all of Jack Higgins book, but Wolf at the Door has the weakest plot that keeps going when it should come to an end. There are also too many difficult character names to follow in an audio book.IN paer you can keep up with the characters better.

Not a Higgins best
