Why I loved this book

I am a history buff, but this was a slice of life that I knew nothing about. Russia and Eastern Europe before and after the Russian Revolution from the point of view of the aristocracy. A very very long book but I found it compelling…… and based on a true character !

Too much information, too many details so little story line. I couldn’t finish it. Sorry.
