Disappointing very disappointing

Authored by serious progressive. Ridiculous worldview. Skip this book. I was constantly disappointed with the book choices.

An enticing, concise overview.

I now have quite a few books that I am very eager to read because I am confident they are a great read, a great education —and that will in my mind to my last days.

Author says nothing substantial

This book is not a collection of 52 works of writing but 52 opinionated criticisms of the author. It contains little excerpts from those sources, and a ton of the author’s summaries and opinions.

The author took hours to poke holes at every major world religion, system of worldview, political system, and even food. Yes, even most people’s favorite food, is not good enough for this author!

Worst of all, the summaries are BORING! The world medical association should prescribe this book as the cure for insomnia!

An amazing survey

As someone who discovered books later in life, this guided tour of great thinkers is a welcome map of ideas and opportunities to learn.
