The first story is the best by far. I'm almost done listening to this book -- some stories I had to skip due to just not being able to get past the narrators. Others were just not my style. But there were a couple of good stories. All-in-all, just a so-so compilation in my humble opinion.

So-So

Really a mixed review. Technically, one story disappeared midstream and another began spontaneously. Another problem was a totally valley-girl type narrator that drove me to advance past her work. I did find may of the stories entertaining but generally was disappointed with the overall quality.

another good colection of short stories in the mystery/crime genre. a good way to sample contemporary writers to see if one might enjoy a longer ,novel, from that writer.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

The book sparked disappointment in that most of the stories are just so-so and some of them are just cut off with no ending. Perhaps this book needs to be re-recorded.

Technical difficulties

Two stories ran into each other and there were no endings for the two stories.
