The Wound Makes the Medicine is Lighthorse’s deepest and most personal work yet. A series of healing remedies in thought and prose, the book centers on the internal challenges of suffering and offers affirmations for being with pain rather than avoiding it. The Wound Makes the Medicine helps create conditions for change within, without forcing or expecting transformation.

Good read probably better in print though. Helpful in low times to come back to

I have been a long time fan of Pixies body of work. Her words are moving and she writes with such poetic elegance. This book is by far some of her best work. It forces you to sit in your feelings but in a gentle way. I have recommended this book to all my friends and even through a rehab program. Her work truly capitavates the heart, mind, body, and spirit. I cannot give enough praise to this book. It truly is a work of art. Thank you Pixie for allowing us into your world and bring healing to ours.
